A Light, Guilt-Free Chocolate Drizzle You Can Whip Up Anytime

This Chocolate Sauce is silky, dark, and intensely satisfying—without added sugars or heavy ingredients. Made with just cocoa, erythritol, and a pinch of xanthan gum, it’s perfect for drizzling over pancakes, fruits, yogurts, or healthy desserts. With its naturally low-calorie profile and smooth consistency, this sauce is a go-to for anyone watching their sugar intake but not willing to compromise on flavour.

It blends up in seconds and keeps well in the fridge—ready whenever your chocolate cravings strike.

Kitchen Tools

  • Mixing bowl

  • Hand blender or whisk

Ingredients

  • 10 g unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 3 g xanthan gum (about 1 teaspoon)

  • 40 g / 1.5 oz erythritol

  • 250 ml / 8.5 fl oz water

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients: In a bowl, add the cocoa powder, erythritol, xanthan gum, and water.

  2. Blend until smooth: Using a hand blender or a strong whisk, blend vigorously until the mixture is smooth, glossy, and fully combined. It should slightly thicken thanks to the xanthan gum.

  3. Chill and store: Pour into a clean jar or container with a lid and refrigerate. The sauce will continue to thicken slightly as it cools.

Serving Ideas

  • Drizzle over banana slices or strawberries

  • Pour on top of pancakes, waffles, or crepes

  • Stir into warm plant-based milk for instant hot chocolate

  • Add to oatmeal or chia pudding for a chocolaty upgrade

Storage

Store in the fridge for up to 1 week. Stir or shake before using, as natural separation may occur.

This Chocolate Sauce is quick, healthy, and endlessly versatile—a must-have for chocolate lovers who like to keep things light and simple.
