Kitchen Tools
Hand blender or food processor
Ingredients
1/2 cup nuts (cashews, almonds, or macadamias work well)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon cheese-flavored seasoning (vegan if needed)
1/2 cup water (or more to adjust consistency)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Blend the base: In a blender or food processor, combine the nuts, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried basil. Blend until a uniform, slightly coarse consistency forms.
Add water: Pour in 1/2 cup water and blend again until smooth and creamy.
Finish with cheese flavour: Add the cheese-flavored seasoning and blend once more until fully integrated. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Store and chill: Transfer the sauce to a covered container and refrigerate. It will thicken slightly as it cools.
