Kitchen Tools
Hand blender or food processor
Small bowl for soaking
Ingredients
1/2 cup (approx. 70 g) sunflower seeds
1 large dried tomato (or 2 small)
1/3 cup (approx. 80 ml) olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon smoke powder (or smoked paprika if preferred)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of salt (optional, depending on the saltiness of the dried tomatoes)
Instructions
Soften the tomato: Place the dried tomato in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Let it soak for a few minutes until it softens and rehydrates slightly.
Prep for blending: Once softened, transfer the tomato to a blender or food processor along with the olive oil used for soaking.
Add the rest: Add sunflower seeds, paprika, smoke powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt if needed.
Blend it smooth: Blend until you achieve a thick, creamy, and spreadable texture. Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined.
