📋 Ingredients

Serves 2–3


  • Basmati rice: 1/2 cup

  • Garlic: 4 cloves

  • Onion: 1/2 unit

  • Carrot: 1 unit

  • Red pepper: 1/2 unit

  • Tofu: 7 oz / 200 gr.

  • Paprika: 1 tablespoon

  • Sunflower seeds: 1/2 oz / 15 gr.

  • Pumpkin seeds: 1/2 oz / 15 gr.


👨‍🍳 Instructions


  • Cook the riceIn a pot, combine the basmati rice with 1 cup of water and a pinch of salt. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and water absorbed.

  • Sauté the vegetablesDice the garlic, onion, carrot, and red pepper. Sauté them in a frying pan with a drizzle of vegetable oil and the paprika until softened.

  • Add the tofuCut the tofu into pieces and add it to the pan. Sauté until golden on all sides.

  • Combine rice and veggiesAdd the cooked rice to the pan with the tofu and vegetables. Stir well and let rest at room temperature.

  • Toast the seedsIn a dry pan, toast the sunflower and pumpkin seeds until lightly browned and fragrant.

  • ServeServe the rice warm and sprinkle the toasted seeds on top.
