A Creamy, Naturally Sweet Treat with a Hint of Aniseed

This Banana and Pear Ice Cream is smooth, refreshing, and full of naturally sweet fruit flavours. With a spoonful of soy yogurt for creaminess and a dash of anise for a unique twist, it’s a dairy-free dessert that’s light, fruity, and incredibly simple to make—no ice cream maker required!

Kitchen Tools

  • Hand blender

Ingredients

  • 125 ml / 4 fl oz soy yogurt

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 ripe pears

  • 1 teaspoon ground anise (or crushed anise seeds)

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add the bananas, pears, soy yogurt, and anise to the hand blender container.

  2. Blend until smooth: Process until you achieve a silky, uniform consistency.

  3. Chill and serve: Store in the refrigerator. Avoid freezing, as the mixture may crystallize and lose its creamy texture.

Serving Ideas

  • Serve in small bowls with granola or toasted oats

  • Top with fresh mint or a drizzle of maple syrup

  • Enjoy as a light breakfast or snack

Storage

Keep refrigerated and consume within 2–3 days for the best texture and flavour.

This Banana & Pear Ice Cream is a silky, spoonable treat that proves you don’t need dairy—or an ice cream maker—for a delicious, creamy dessert.
