These easy puff pastry canapés are a perfect plant-based appetizer for the holidays—crispy outside, creamy and savory inside, and ready in minutes thanks to the air fryer.

📝 Ingredients
Makes about 6–8 canapés (depending on cutter size)
Puff pastry: 1 sheet (defrosted if frozen)
Vegan sausage: 1 unit (firm variety works best)
Vegan cheese: 2 slices (or 2 oz / 60 g block)
Vegan milk: 1/2 cup (e.g., soy or oat, for brushing)
👨🍳 Instructions
Cut the pastryUse a round cutter to make an even number of circles from the puff pastry sheet (you’ll need two per canapé).
Prepare the filling
Cut the vegan cheese into small circles or pieces to fit inside the pastry.
Slice the vegan sausage into medium-thick rounds.
Assemble
On half of the puff pastry circles, place a slice of cheese and a round of sausage.
Cover with another puff pastry circle and gently seal the edges with your fingers or a fork.
Brush & bake
Lightly brush the tops with vegan milk.
Air fry at 180°C / 350°F for 5 minutes. Flip and cook 2 more minutes or until golden and puffed.
