Ingredients

Oatmeal:
Oat flour:
Baking powder:
Cocoa powder:
Sugar:
Sunflower oil:
Dehydrated dates:
Peanut butter:
Chocolate:
Nuts:

1 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
3.5 oz / 100 gr.
2 tablespoons
3.5 oz / 100 gr.
2 oz / 50 gr.

Instructions

1. In a bowl, place the oats, oatmeal, baking powder, cocoa, sugar, 2 tablespoons of oil and 1/4 cup of water.
2. Make balls with the dough and flatten them (so you will have the lids).
3. Mix very well and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Transfer them to a baking sheet (Greased), and bake for 10 minutes at 180ºC/350ºF.
5. In boiling water, cook the dates for 5 minutes.
6. Remove the dates and mash them along with the peanut butter. Set aside.
7. Crush the nuts until they are in very small pieces.
8. Place half of the baked lids on a tray, add a layer of the date filling, and close with the remaining lids.
9. Melt the chocolate. You can do it in a double boiler or in the microwave in intervals.
10. Mix the walnut bits with the chocolate.
11. Dip each alfajor with the chocolate and walnuts.
12. Let sit at room temperature until the chocolate solidifies.
