French toast with fruit

Ingredients

Plant-based milk:
Lemon:
Cinnamon:
Cloves:
Chickpea flour:
Cornstarch:
Bread:

Instructions

1. In a saucepan, place 2 cups of plant-based milk, lemon and orange zest, cinnamon, and cloves.
2. Cook over medium-low heat until it starts to boil.
3. Once the infusion is boiling, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
4. When it's cold, strain it and pour it onto a plate.
5. In another container, mix the cornstarch, chickpea flour, and a cup of plant-based milk until there are no lumps. Set aside.
6. Dip each slice of bread in the infusion until completely moistened, then pass them over the cornstarch mixture and take them directly to the waffle maker (pre-heated).
7. Add a little sweetener to your taste, we recommend powdered sugar, and cook for about 6 minutes.
8. Check doneness and serve. You can accompany them with fruit or ice cream.
