Chickpea seitan

Ingredients

Cooked chickpeas:
Wheat gluten:
Chickpea flour:
Paprika:
Nutritional yeast:

7 oz / 200 gr.
5 oz / 150 gr.
2.5 oz / 80 gr.
1/2 fl oz / 15 ml
5 gr.
1 uit

Instructions

1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
2. To taste, add pepper and salt to 5 fl oz of water.
3. Mix it thoroughly until a smooth, kneadable consistency is achieved.
4. After a few minutes of kneading, divide the dough into two balls and roll them into cylinders.
5. Twist the dough together to create a knot.
6. Cook for 40 minutes over medium heat in boiling water.
7. After removal, allow to reach room temperature.
8. Put in the fridge for a few hours.
9. Crumble and add to your preferred preparation. Keep chilled in a container that has a lid.
